Recently, management has received complaints from customers and employees about mobile device use at the workplace. Customers have been frustrated that employees are sending text messages or talking rather than attending to the needs of the customers. Employees have been frustrated because they feel they must do more work to cover for those not paying attention.
In light of these complaints, management feels it is necessary to clarify the employee policy on mobile device use. During paid work time, all employees are expected to leave their personal mobile phones in their lockers.
