Math Evaluation
The Math Evaluation measures a student’s ability to work with numbers,
interpret real-world problems, and apply mathematical reasoning at the GED level.
Students will answer questions involving basic operations, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.
This evaluation focuses on:
- Numerical operations — whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and percentages
- Algebraic reasoning — expressions, equations, inequalities, and patterns
- Geometry concepts — shapes, measurement, perimeter, area, and volume
- Graphs & data — reading tables, charts, and coordinate graphs
- Problem-solving skills — applying math to real-life situations
The goal of the Math Evaluation is to determine each student’s current skill level and identify
the areas that need improvement before taking the official GED Mathematical Reasoning test.
