Live GED Classes(Science)

CLASS DESCRIPTION

The GED (General Educational Development) Science class is one of four subject tests that make up the GED exam, which is designed to provide individuals who did not complete high school with the opportunity to earn a credential equivalent to a high school diploma. The Science test assesses a candidate’s understanding and application of basic principles found in the fields of Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth and Space Science. Here’s a brief overview of its components:

1. Life Science (40%)**: This section covers biology and health-related topics, including but not limited to cell functions and structures, genetics, evolution, ecosystems, and the human body systems.

2. Physical Science (40%)**: This section includes questions on chemistry and physics. Topics may encompass properties and states of matter, chemical reactions, forces and motion, energy, and waves.

3. Earth and Space Science (20%)**: This portion tests knowledge in areas such as Earth’s systems (geology, meteorology, oceanography), and astronomy, covering the Earth’s structure, natural resources, weather and climate, the solar system, and the universe.

The GED Science class focuses not only on specific scientific knowledge but also on the ability to read, understand, and interpret science-related texts and data. Questions often require test-takers to apply scientific reasoning and principles to solve problems or make predictions. The test format includes multiple-choice questions, drag-and-drop, and short answer questions, often incorporating charts, graphs, and reading passages to assess critical thinking and analytical skills in a scientific context.
